Bad news for Kuronuma.

Some actors of Kuronuma's play were assigned to an other show. Kuronuma is told by the Production Manager that nobody took them away from him, but the actors themselves wanted to abandon him: he's too harsh on them! The show they will take part in is the musical "Isadora", about the life of Isadora Duncan, directed by Yahiko Fujimoto. The popular and talented Madoka Enjoji will perform Isadora, who has just left the Hoshika company: this will be her first show after breaking up with that company. For this reason, many people will be interested in this show, which will be put on stage in Autumn. Surely, there are more chances that "Isadora" is considered by the Arts Festival rather than "The forgotten wilderness". Since Kuronuma never accepted compromises as far as the direction on the play, Osawa Production decided to produce an other Autumn Play. Osawa Production wants an award at any cost: the company has never won one...
It seems that Osawa Production wants to abandon Kuronuma and his play, to favour "Isadora". Kuronuma and his cast have to move to a old Osawa Studio next to the railway... But Maya doesn't lose heart and enthusiasm, and she encourages the other actors.

Meet Shiori Takamiya.

Ayumi calls Maya. Onodera is at her home, and he thinks they have found where Chigusa Tsukikage is. Masumi Hayami should know where she is...
Ayumi also wishes Maya good luck for her role as a wolf-girl, and she is happy to accept Maya's invitation to come watch the play.

Daito Art Production. Maya is very angry. Masumi Hayami promised her that he would keep her informed about Chigusa Tsukikage! Why didn't he tell her that he found her? Maya is informed that Masumi Hayami is busy with a meeting, but she doesn't want to wait and even if she hasn't got an appointment, she tries to enter the meeting room. Some office workers stop her and push her to the floor.
A beautiful elegant woman shows up. She apologizes with Maya for how they treated her and she gives the girl her handkerchief. It's the woman whom Masumi Hayami is dating!
Masumi Hayami opens the door to see who made all that noise. He is very surprised to see Maya. The girls yells at him as usual, and Masumi laughs a lot. He will talk to her later, in the meantime she will sit in the waiting room with Mizuki. His fiancée looks at him and kindly smiles. She will patiently wait until the meeting is over...
Mizuki tells Maya who Masumi's fiancée is: her name is Shiori Takamiya. Her grandfather is the chairman of Takatsu group: he owns the biggest advertising company in the world and he runs many hotels, department stores, building companies, import-export companies, and also Chuo TV and Chuo the magazine... Moreover, Mr. Takamiya once helped Eisuke Hayami, who owes him a big favour now... This marriage would be very useful for Daito.
Maya can't help asking what Masumi Hayami thinks... Mizuki lets her know that he will do it for Daito Art Production...
Maya is thoughtful and sad. Masumi enters and teases her, so that her mood changes. Masumi confirms that he knows where Tsukikage is (i.e. in the valley of Kurenai Tennyo). She's having a healthy and relaxing life, Genzo is always by her side. The sensei asked not to tell anyone where she is, and especially she doesn't want to see Maya before Spring: this is the deadline Tsukikage set! Maya has to win an award before that date, otherwise Ayumi will perform "Kurenai Tennyo"... Then, Maya's chance is "The forgotten wilderness"!
Masumi asks her if she gave up relying on the 1% possibility; Maya says no.
Masumi is pleased:
Then, I will rely on that 1% too. I believe in you!
Maya blushes and thanks him.
Mizuki knocks on the door: unluckily Masumi has to go. The two walk to the exit door teasing each other. Finally they arrive at the hall where Shiori is waiting. She sees Maya and Masumi; she is very weak because of anaemia and she almost faints. Masumi Hayami runs to help her. Maya stands still, looking at the couple. Masumi makes Shiori sit in the car. He notices that Mays is watching them. Maya turns her back to run away, but Masumi stops her:
That was the last time I've been to the planetarium. I will never go there any longer...
Maya is confused. She smells Shiori's perfume on the handkerchief the woman lent her...

Masumi and Shiori have dinner out. Shiori thanks him because she has become happy since she knows him... She has always been alone because of her shyness and weakness...
Masumi doesn't agree: it's just that she didn't know herself before...
And he starts thinking of Maya:
...And I didn't know myself either... Until I met that girl... But now, it's too late...

Kuronuma's only chance.

Osawa Production wants to invest everything in "Isadora", which be on stage at Daito Theatre. They are looking for a very cheap theatre for "The forgotten wilderness": Kuronuma doesn't know when and where his play will performed! Almost all the actors abandon him, but Maya and Sakurakoji don't. They keep rehearsing and they work together better and better.
The Osawa Production manager tries to persuade Sakurakoji to work for them in "Isadora", but he doesn't succeed. Later Madoka Enjoji herself tries to persuade the young actor to leave Kuronuma: she invites him to Mandala Restaurant and she introduces him to the great staff of Isadora. She offers him a very important role in the musical: Isadora's lover! But Sakurakoji has no intention of accepting. In the meantime Maya is worried because Sakurakoji is not at the rehearsals. Later a guy from the staff informs her that he has been seen at the restaurant with Madoka Enjoji...
Maya runs in the rain to get to him: he can't abandon her!
Maya and Sakurakoji meet in the street. Sakurakoji is surprised to see her... Maya looks desperate:
Please, act with me! Play Stewart! Without your Stewart, I will not be able to perform my Jane! Please Sakurakoji, don't leave Jane alone! I need you... I need Stewart!
Sakurakoji is touched. He had already refused Madoka Enjoji's offer...
He embraces Maya.
Madoka Enjoji is disappointed for being rejected. Later, she talks to Masumi Hayami at a business meeting. Masumi tells her about Maya's Kitajima career as an actress, so that she understands who the partner Sakurakoji chose is.

Kuronuma decided to look for actors among ordinary people. He advertises an audition on newspapers and leaflets. 8 amateurs are picked up, they will perform in "The forgotten wilderness"! Since from the first rehearsals with them, Maya realizes what a genius Kuronuma is: he is able to direct non-actors (a labourer, a teachers, a biker etc...) and to make them perform in a very interesting way.
Anyway, the Osawa Production manager can't accept this. He doesn't want to finance the show any longer. But Kuronuma is self-confident enough to say that his play will be much more interesting than "Isadora" the musical. He begs the manager on his knees! The manager accepts to give him a chance: Osawa Production will present "Isadora" at the Arts Festival. Anyway they will let Kuronuma direct "The forgotten wilderness" provided that his play obtains the recognition from the Arts Festival Organization Committee: only in this way they will take part in the competition.

A drunk Kuronuma enters the old Osawa Studio with Madoka Enjoji and the director Fujimoto. Maya, Sakurakoji and the just selected amateur actors are in. Kuronuma orders them to perform the whole play: some prompters will help them.
Madoka Enjoji is disappointed: even after all, there's something in the play which attracts her attention... And Maya's expression sometimes is something incredible... That girl is very talented...

Masumi keeps dating Shiori. He is very kind to her. Mizuki suffers a lot for him: he's lying to himself, and his behaviour is unfair to Maya...
Shiori notices that Masumi is absent minded... His eyes stare at something far away... No, this must be just an impression...
